Technician Acceleration Program

The Technician Acceleration Program is designed to quickly and efficiently train Diesel Technicians in every aspect of the repair and maintenance skill-set they will use in the day-to-day repair center setting. The program takes the student through at an accelerated pace, each segment focus building on the one before.

Overview of the Technician Acceleration Program (TAP)
Introduction to medium and heavy duty truck repair.
Work place skills development
Service technician training and web based resources
Inspections and preventative maintenance
Torch and welder operation, bolt extraction
Product overview
Service and maintenance procedures

MODULE 2

Air pressure delivery systems
Air and hydraulic braking systems
Antilock brake system
Wheel systems repairs
Fifth wheel system
Steering
Air suspension systems
Manual transmissions and clutch adjustments

MODULE 3

Electrical theory
Electrical diagnostic tools
Circuit identification and mapping
Electrical circuit testing
Starting and charging systems
Repairing damaged wires and terminals
Introduction to Multiplexing and electronic control systems
Introduction to HVAC theory and refrigerant handling certifications

NOTE: The Technician Acceleration Program is a mix of class time and hands-on shop experience working with a designated mentor.
